Meet Cate. After graduating from Queen’s University Belfast with a degree in Business Information Management, Cate worked with the Belfast MET student finance team.

During her time in this position, Cate visited a range of schools and chatted to GCSE and A Level students about the different courses that were available to them after leaving school. This experience helped Cate to gain confidence in public speaking.

Soon after, Cate moved to London where she gained training as a voiceover actress and had a number of TV appearances, including QVC and the pilot of Game of Thrones.

In 2009, Cate started her career in radio on the Q Radio Breakfast Show alongside Steven Clements. During her time at Q Radio Cate also took part in major events around Belfast, including the turning on of the Christmas lights.

Cate now works at U105 alongside her voiceover career and also runs her own company Quirky Weddings.
